You have a truly fascinating story about an aggressive futureworld corporation bankrolling avatar-technology so that human beings can insinuate themselves into the lives of aliens to seduce them. What an  captivating story it is – and this is really  an experience………………….we just love the 3D effect!

When we have to make some tough choices, it takes a lot of courage. Are we willing to strike out and pursue our dreams without compromising them? I am willing to take that first tough step towards realising my aspirations.

Mini char siew pau and chicken pau is quite good though I didn’t really like the not so thin skin. Yuen yang pau is an interesting mix of lotus and red bean paste. But with the sky rocket prices (70 cents for mini char siew pau, $1.70 for chicken pau and $1.50 for yuen yang pau), I won’t be drawn to it easily again…………….

Can’t believe that this gooey, sticky gravy can really taste so good! Love the soft cabbage, curry chicken and braised pork.

Both Swee Guan Hokkien Mee and Kwong Satay are located along Geylang Lorong 29 Sing Lian Coffee Shop.

Swee Guan Hokkien mee has the “wok hei”. Very good. Smallest plate at $4.

One of the best pork satay I have eaten. Only 40 cents per stick.

Went to two Chefs Eating Place at Commonwealth. Finally we get to savour the much raved dishes after our last two failed attempts to eat there – first try, not open, second try – too crowded.

The star of the night is butter pork ribs. Boneless and cheesy. It was slightly sweet, coated with butter powder which had a uncanny resemblance to cheese. I will like more butter.

Another generous serving of food for $8. Golden mushroom beancurd. The gravy was excellent though I prefer it to be thicker. Lots of golden mushrooms & minced pork. It goes very well with rice.

3-eggs Vegetables. A light dish that I like with more salted eggs.

It was such a wet night. Hmm……….and we felt so lazy and didn’t feel like moving an inch. But nevertheless, we still need to fill our stomach don’t we? Having taken notice of this western stall at Simpang Bedok the last time we visited the place, my youngest daughter raved about wanting to eat there. So off we drove again to Simpang Bedok, a place we were all happy about visiting again for night eating. I was quite apprehensive about whether it will be a rigt decision as I thought the outside seatings will be wet but thanks Heaven the rain stopped by the time we arrived.

Spize served two menus – Indian-Thai and Mediterranean. We were more interested in the grills so we had the bullet pepper steak and classic fish and chips. The only item we ate from the Supper Club menu was the award winning pondok selera roti john (special). And boy, we loved the food!

The roti john was crispy on the outside. The sweet chili sauce made the bread juicy, spicy and tangy but not soggy. I couldn’t really taste the mushrooms but the cheese was yummy. Mouth watering, sizzling, vapouring bullet steak  showered in black pepper was served with corn, broccoli, carrot and mashed potato. Delicious fish and chips had fries and vegetable salad as sides but hubby’s favorite is still at Fish & Co. Our drinks were interesting – blueberry lychee & syrup limau selaseh (rose syrup with lime).

Spize serves roti prata, mee goreng pattaya, roti john, satay and even barbeque ribs till 4:30am on weekends. A good place to enjoy mediterranean, western and local delights the affordable way and watch soccer too!
