Tucked away at Hougang Street 21, Blk 212 is Nakhon Kitchen, nestled in the heartland of Hougang. A no-frills Thai eatery offering the perennial faves, such as papaya and mango salads, tom yam and green curry. Be prepared to queue for a table during dinnertime (especially during weekends).

Pineapple Rice – decent enough

Tom Yam Seafood Soup (Clear) – looks mild but fiery

Chicken with Cashew Nuts – non spicy

Kangkong cooked in thai style - a lot less spicy and less oily
Crispy garoupa with Thai chilli sauce – the fish was indeed very crispy, and the flavours of the sauce went well with it. Olive Rice with minced meat is flavorful. Kailan with Mushrooms is decent. For desserts, Mango on sticky rice is rich in flavor and the Red Ruby is refreshing too. However, I found the lemongrass drink is a little mild for its aroma.
Due to the restaurant do not charge any service charge and GST, it is a steal to be able to get good Thai food at an awfully cheap price.
