We finally visited this shop at 24 Kandahar Street after heard about them for so long. There were no other customers when we went in. We bought the much recommended durian and kaya swiss rolls. Rich and Good Cake Shop makes theirs slim and long. 2 rolls for $13. Hmmm….. the vanilla sponge roll was soft and the durian paste was not too thick. Wish they had given me more durian paste in my roll but for S$6.50 for a 30cm durian swiss roll, I really shouldn’t be complaining! The kaya spread is fragrant and creamy without being too sweet. Overall, it had the melt-in-your-mouth sensation.
There are other variants- coffee, blueberry, mango, chocolate, strawberry. Other pastries like walnut cakes and durian puffs are available.
