After a lazy afternn nap (blamed d rain……), me & dear woke up @ a veri late 7.30pm. Guess our minds r still snoring……..yawn………. After a decade long of thots, finally planned on pratas. So we tucked our chihuahua into the kitchen and casually got out of d hse wif our 3 babies in 5 mins to Thasevi Food Eating House @ Jln Kayu, who prides its pratas as being the ‘Established Roti Prata Since 1960’ and ‘Best Awarded Roti Prata’.
Not 2 crowded at d x on reachin d plc, we happili seated our kids nicely at a gd table. Me & dear then proceeded 2 d counter 4 our order. ‘Wait!” d young man @ d counter motionless told us, thou there wasn’t any1 besides us! He then took his own sweet x folding juz ONE pc of paper, & AGAIN his own sweet time 2 take out d order form. “How much?” I asked. He then shoved me d paper stating $24.50. We paid, returned 2 our seats & waited 4 our food. A plate of 2 miserable, small pcs of chicken curry costs us $3.70……”Ha? So little?” I said. “Pratas standard dropped.” Dear commented. He then went 2 order mee goreng but returned wif d $10 intact, “Didn’t order. He said 35 mins.” “Y so long? Now not cowded wat.” I asked. “He said they cooked for table 1 by 1.” came d reply. Later, more people came, & d Q got longer………”Now wonder how long got 2 wait for food ha these people? Tink Singaporeans r funny, willing 2 pay 4 poor service.” Dear said.
“Not for us again………..” I told him.

Yay! Looks yummy. I would want to try this at home. Thank you for sharing your Roti Prata food experience.
